Planning an office move

A moving floor plan
Working out where furniture and equipment goes before the truck arrives saves hours. Plans can be simple or detailed, and we can use a numbering system with colour coded labels so printers, computers and phone systems land in the right spot.
Access at both ends
Is there a loading dock? Will the lifts fit your equipment and tables? Are there weight restrictions on safes or heavy displays? Will the furniture fit through the doors and along the corridors? Do you need parking permits? Sorting this early is the single biggest time saver.
Preparation
Desks, workstations, bookcases, stationery cabinets and filing cabinets should be broken down and packed. On four drawer filing cabinets, empty the top two drawers and tape the drawers shut. Tape the keys to the top of each cabinet so you are not left with a pile of unlabelled keys.
Computers and comms
Do not box up computer equipment. Our crew will pack it with care straight into the truck on the day, which is safer than a carton and much faster to set back up at the other end.

Can you move our office over a weekend?
Yes, and most of our office moves are done exactly that way. Weekend and after hours moves mean your business does not lose a trading day.
Do we need to pack the computers?
No. Leave computer equipment out of boxes. Our crew packs it directly and carefully into the truck, which is safer and much faster to set up again.
What should we do with filing cabinets?
